(G)I-DLE’s sixth mini album “I feel
Following the release of their first full album title track “TOMBOY” in 2022 and their fifth mini album title track “Nxde”, (GIRLS), who have achieved remarkable achievements in the domestic and international music markets, including topping the iTunes charts in 40 regions worldwide, entering the US Billboard 200, becoming the first K-Pop girl group to enter the Media Base Top 40, and entering the Billboard Airplay chart for the first time, are set to make a spectacular comeback with their sixth mini album “I feel” to create another syndrome.
In [I feel], the sixth mini album in about seven months, (Girls’ Generation) explores the message of ‘self-esteem’ that changes according to one’s thoughts and feelings with their honest and delightful charm, providing another original series that anyone can easily relate to and enjoy.
While the pre-release song “Allergy” reflects the duality of resenting myself for comparing myself to others but wanting to love myself nonetheless, the title track “Queencard” realizes that what matters is accepting myself for who I am, not what I look like. To truly love who I am, that’s how to be a “Queencard” as defined by (girls).
With all six tracks written and composed by the members, “I feel” is a mini-6-track album that talks about how to love yourself in different ways, demonstrating the unique musical spectrum of the girls who have grown into global artists.
The third track, “Lucid,” is a dreamy and fantastical rendition of the waking senses with a unique bass riff and organ sound, as if in a trance. The fourth track, “All Night,” is an honest lyrical expression of a night when you want to let go of others and just be yourself, with a slap bass riff, distorted guitar sound, and a punchy beat that makes the chorus even more addictive. The fifth track, “Paradise,” is an electro-pop song built on an emotional and colorful synth track, with warm lyrics that will comfort anyone who is tired of the daily grind. Finally, the sixth track, “Young Adult,” is a minimalist track with a catchy acoustic guitar riff and a groovy swinging beat, with witty lyrics about the confusion of 20-somethings as they transition into adulthood as defined by society.
It’s a declaration from the (girls) that they will love ‘me’ just the way I am, no matter how I ‘feel’.
Their sixth mini-album [I feel] is filled with confidence for a reason.
