The trusted girl group ‘GFRIEND’ is making a comeback with their fourth mini album ‘THE AWAKENING’.
After successfully completing the school trilogy and their first full-length album, the group is starting the second act of their career and is expected to capture the hearts of the public once again with a more grown-up and renewed look.
In particular, attention is being focused on the new steps of Girlfriend, who proved themselves to be a national girl group in 2017 with various records such as perfect all-kill on the music charts of their previous albums, the title track of their first full-length album, “You and Me,” which won 15 awards, “Running Through Time,” which won 14 awards, and “We Are From Today,” which became the first girl group to achieve 100 million streams.
The title of their fourth mini-album, “THE AWAKENING,” means “awareness,” “awakening,” and has an implied meaning of “waking up to love. ‘Song of the Wind’ is a song that combines a deep house-based rhythm with a sensual violin performance and a lyrical melody characteristic of a girlfriend. Inspired by the album’s name, THE AWAKENING, and with the motif of Lucid Dream, the music video is a sensational work that surpasses the school trilogy with a stunning production exclusively for girlfriends.
