Stray Kids released their mini album ‘Cle : LEVANTER’ on December 9th.
Stray Kids made a bold entrance into the music industry with their self-written song “Hellevator”. Until their new album ‘Cle: LEVANTER’, they have been named in the album credits every time and are writing a history of limitless musical growth.
Starting with ‘Cle1 : MIROH’, they released ‘Cle 2 : Yellow Wood’, and finally ‘Cle : LEVANTER’, the complete version of the ‘Cle’ series.
Entering MIROH as their first step into the adult world, STRAYKIDS walked toward their own direction with burning determination and passion as their weapons. They didn’t avoid hardships and adversity, but instead faced them with all their might in the maze-like space of ‘Side Effects’. But rather than sit back, they chose to tie their shoelaces twice as tightly and dive into the world.
Stray Kids, who have run so far toward their dreams, condensed the true meaning of ‘Cle’ that they found in the past journey into this album.
The title track “Wind (Levanter)” was written by JYP head Park Jin Young and talented musician Herz Analog, along with the team’s production group 3RACHA.
With lyrics such as “All I needed was me, I walked where my two feet took me, and the moment I left the tunnel that trapped me in my dreams, I could feel the light pouring in,” STRAYKIDS sings about the emotions the members felt.
The new mini album contains eight tracks, including the title track “Wind (Levanter),” as well as “STOP,” “Double Knot,” “Booster,” “Astronaut,” “Sunshine,” “You Can STAY,” and “Mixtape #5,” which can only be heard on the CD. This time, he participated in writing and composing all of the songs to give them the true color of STRAYKIDS.
‘STOP’ is a continuation of ‘Cle2 : Yellow Wood’ song ‘Road Less Traveled’. Matthew Tishler, who worked on the OST with Disney, and ThreeRacha worked together again. The lyrics are about the realization that Stray Kids gained at the end of ‘The Road Not Taken’.
“Double Knot,” which premiered as a digital single on October 9, is a song about the determination to tie your shoelaces twice as tightly and move forward. The ambition to go anywhere is melted into a strong melody.
‘Booster’ is an explosive mix of strong rap and three-dimensional vocals. The energetic rap line hovers addictively, and the members’ colorful harmonies are embroidered throughout the song.
“Astronaut,” which was released through a music video on November 14, is an easy listening song that combines a bouncy beat and melody. The song was produced by DJ and production duo Sondr, who have worked with famous international pop artists such as Lana Del Ray and Meghan Trainor.
“Sunshine” is a song written and composed by member Han. We tried to musically embody the feeling of finding peace in the midst of chaos in the city.
“You Can STAY” is a track that was created with their fans (STAY) in mind. I expressed my feelings for my fans with lyrics such as “Thank you for coming to me, thank you for being my shadow in the approaching light, thank you for holding my hand.”
“Mixtape #5” was written and composed by all members of STRAYKIDS. StrayKids’ voice over a piano melody mesmerizes the listener. Witty lyrics such as “The red, yellow, and green trees are now wearing cloud-colored hoods and are with you this winter.” stand out.
So far, so good for Stray Kids. With their new album ‘Cle : LEVANTER’, which contains the last story of the ‘Cle’ series, they convey courage and faith to listeners.
